Classical liberal’s view on government assistance to ppl who can’t afford their home mortgages?

Would they be against it because they’re against government assistance and that everyone is liable for their own properties?

I can’t think of any reasons why they would agree to help, some assistance is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!
